Sidney, BC is a jewel along the coast of Vancouver Island. Located between the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal and Victoria, Sidney has enough to offer that there’s no need to continue to our province’s capital! We’re closer to all the natural beauty of Vancouver Island with the waters of the Georgia Strait to one side of us and the forests of the island on the other! If you’re coming to Vancouver Island, you owe it to yourself to explore our many walking trails!

Just outside of Sidney, Mount Work is a regional park with a fantastic walking trail and spectacular views! A 5K round trip to the summit, this is a good challenge for beginners and a quick hike for experts! It’s also absolutely stunning. If you’re on Vancouver Island, this trail is a must-visit!

Connecting Victoria to neighbouring towns, Galloping Goose is a combination walking and cycling pat that takes a scenic, winding route by the water and through multiple scenic forests! Its full length is impressive and absolutely worth exploring!

A beautiful walking path through the woods! Reay Creek winds through a park and surrounds you with sunlight filtered through dense green branches and fronds. It’s like a walk through the Garden of Eden, totally wild and untamed! A family-friendly path, this walk is an easy addition to any morning or afternoon. Load up the car and take the kids!

This paved walk follows the water out of the Sidney Marina, and offers multiple benches for anyone who needs to rest to keep their energy up! It’s a fantastic way to get some vitamin D from the shining sun on the water!

Sidney really is paradise – you can discover that by booking a room at Best Western Plus Emerald Isle this April!
